Another baby has been born to a celebrity family in this auspicious Year of the Pig. Singer Hacken Lee Hak-kan and former Miss Hong Kong Emily Lo Suk-yi's baby boy, Ryan, made his debut appearance on Monday.
The news was disclosed by veteran singer and friend Alan Tam Wing-lun, who is in Suzhou attending the Golden Rooster and Full Blossom Film Festival.
Speaking on the telephone on Wednesday, Tam said the baby was born early and that both Lee and Lo (left) are still catching up on their new parental roles, so the baby's Chinese name is yet to be decided. 'Both the mother and son are in good condition. Hacken accompanied his wife when she was in labour and he was really excited about his newborn son.'
Tam joked that the baby changed his look every day, 'On the first day, he looked like his mum, then on the second day, he seemed to be more like his dad. He looked like his mum again on the third day.'
Ryan was born at the Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital. Friends visited the hospital, including singer Edmond Leung Hon-man and TV actress Ada Choi Siu-fun, who both tried to fool the media, saying they were there because they were sick.
Lee, a football fan, reportedly named his son Ryan after Manchester United Welsh footballer Ryan Giggs. The singer met Lo during the 1992 Miss Hong Kong beauty pageant, the year that Lo won the title. The couple dated for over 10 years and finally tied the knot in December last year.
