Introduce Macau to world of wealth management

Here's an exciting opportunity to make your mark in the wealth management industry in Macau.

A leading bank that is experiencing explosive growth in this sector needs a head of wealth management.

Executive recruitment firm Hudson is handling the search.

'This role is in the retail banking division, and the person would have to set up the entire wealth management team from scratch,' said corporate services manager Kensy Sy.

'This is an exciting role because there has been a dramatic rise in high-net-worth individuals in Macau. The person will build up the team and will need to develop strategies to grow the business unit there.'

The wealth manager will need to maximise business opportunities by exploring and developing financial and investment products, and work closely with distribution channels to achieve business targets.

The person will also help solidify the bank's position in the wealth management market.

Mr Sy said it was an opportunity for someone to make a mark in a city where wealth management was not traditionally an active business. But an influx of wealthier individuals, especially from the mainland had fuelled demand for such financial services.

A degree holder in marketing, business management or a related discipline with at least 15 years of banking experience and seven years in retail banking with good knowledge of the industry is sought. Exposure to retail banking operations is important, as are English and Chinese.
