Jet flies off to live in Singapore

Film star Jet Li Lianjie has moved to Singapore because he wants his two children to receive a better education.

According to Next magazine, Li has enrolled his daughters - seven-year-old Jane and four-year-old Jade - in an international school and bought a HK$40 million luxury flat nearby. Li and his wife, Nina Li Chi, were seen buying school supplies just before the Singaporean school year began after Christmas.

Although Li has a HK$200 million mansion in Shanghai and has lived in both the US and the mainland, he chose Singapore because he believes city's cultural mix will benefit his daughters.

But the school fees are not cheap - HK$100,000 for kindergarten and HK$110,000 for elementary school per year. They shouldn't pose a problem for the action star, who reportedly about 465 million yuan last year.
