A car suspected to be linked to seven crime cases was destroyed when it was torched in Kowloon Bay early yesterday. The vehicle, which was stolen in Sha Tin in November, was found on fire in Wang Chiu Road about 2.30am. Firemen doused the flames but the vehicle was badly damaged. A police investigator believed the culprits wanted to destroy evidence that may have helped identify them. An initial investigation showed that the car was linked to six reports of burglary and theft.
