Sixty years of fellowship

To celebrate its 60th anniversary in Hong Kong, the British Council invited 60 prominent local alumni from schools in Britain to a cocktail party at its Supreme Court Road premises last month.

At the event, chief executive of the British Council worldwide Martin Davidson spoke of the cultural and educational role his organisation had played in linking the two places, as old friends, new acquaintances and fellow graduates shared stories, toasted the council and shared a giant birthday cake.

The notable British alumni present included David Li Kwok-po, Selina Chow Liang Shuk-yee, Chip Tsao, Chung Sze-yuen, Audrey Eu Yuet-mee, Markus Shaw and David Tang Wing-cheung.
