Anson Chan queries government turnaround

Former chief secretary Anson Chan Fang On-sang said it was unusual for the government to suddenly lower the academic requirements for the post of RTHK chief. Referring to RTHK talk-show host Robert Chow Yung's suitability, Mrs Chan, now a lawmaker, said it was reasonable to apply minimum academic qualifications to a senior government post. She disagreed with Chow's remarks of discrimination to non-degree holders.
