This week we test: powder eye shadow
Powder eye shadow is easy to apply and blend. Highlighting a spot above the iris with a complementary colour will enhance the colour of your eyes.
Laura Mercier Eye Colour Nutmeg (HK$160/4.6g)
For that ultimate fresh spring look, this is what you need. The nutmeg shade offers a sheer translucent glow to your eyes while the smooth texture provides an almost flawless application. We love it!
Cyber Jewel Amour (HK$88/2.5g)
More like an aquamarine highlighter than eyeshadow. Its kaleidoscope-like shimmer is trendy and youthful. Apply a second layer for a longer-lasting look. 6/10
Shimmer Eye Colour (HK$99/4g)
Provides perfect all-day-wear - it's really long-lasting. This three-tone shade is magnificent, providing a natural and subdued glow, and smooth, satin finish. 9/10
Bobbi Brown Eye Shadow (HK$160/3.2g)
One for patient or professional appliers! You really need a makeup brush to apply this and blend it in well, otherwise it sits unevenly on the skin. Lasts hours - but that's the least you'd expect with the effort required. 6/10
Anna Sui Eye Colour Accent J (HK$180/2.5g)
The shimmering silver-grey colour sandwiched between purple and golden yellow allow various looks to be created for different situations. The powder glides on smoothly, but you have to re-apply by the afternoon. 8/10
