Middle East airline is expanding rapidly, especially in China, and needs people with experience

This airline has experienced unprecedented expansion, averaging almost 40 per cent year on year and has more China destinations. Flights are now operating out of Doha International Airport to Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Hong Kong.

From only four aircraft in 1997 the airline grew to a fleet size of 28 aircraft by the end of 2003 and a milestone 50 by October 2006.
The airline operates 62 Boeing and Airbus aircraft and by 2013 the fleet size will grow to 110 aircraft.
Candidates joining the airline will be offered the opportunity to experience a high-flying career with a modern fleet of A300-600, A319/A320/A321, A330, A340 and B777 aircraft. Applicants for the position of A300, A320, A330 or B777 captain should have a total of 6,000 hours of experience, with at least 2,000 hours of command.
Of these, 1,500 hours should be jet command and 500 hours on a type operated by Qatar Airways or on Electronic Flight Information Systems equipped jets.
Successful candidates should also have a valid International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) licence, which should include an ICAO English Proficiency Level endorsement.
Pilots without a rating on the aircraft types flown by Qatar Airways must be able to provide specific levels of experience.
First officers should have 2,000 hours of experience, of which 500 hours should be on jets.
Pilots given a type-rating conversion will be required to sign a service bond with the company.
These positions carry all-inclusive average monthly, tax-free remuneration packages, inclusive of housing allowance.
