Mr Yip will oversee Sinopia's development throughout the region, in collaboration with the firm's other offices and HSBC Global Asset Management in Asia-Pacific. He was formerly a managing director of the company in 2003.

Mr Tsong greatly expands his responsibility for promoting and growing TransUnion's credit information and analytic business throughout the region. He joined the company last year from United Overseas Bank group, where he had been a first vice-president.

Mr Kerger will be based in Singapore, reporting to managing director Roelfien Kuijpers. He will oversee the group's business in the region, offering a wide range of global investment strategies and services to institutions such as pension plans, endowments and sovereign wealth funds.

Mr Birkett joins the firm as a partner in its corporate group in Hong Kong. He has more than 20 years of experience in handling corporate finance transactions. He was previously senior director of corporate finance at the Securities and Futures Commission.
Mr McWhirter brings 20 years of sales, marketing and leadership experience to the company, 15 of which have been focused in the Asia-Pacific market. He joins salesforce.com from serving as vice-president of HP Software Asia Pacific, a division of HP Technology Solutions Group.
