Mai Po housing project approved

The Town Planning Board has approved a controversial 350-unit Henderson Land housing project bordering the Mai Po nature reserve in Yuen Long. Nearly 400 objections out of 431 comments were received during a public consultation in May as people feared the loss of 4.7 hectares and harm to bird habitats. A spokesman said Henderson would have to apply mitigation measures.
