Thidapa eases to HK Ladies crown

Thailand's Thidapa Suwannapura overcame a shaky start to cruise to victory at the Helene et Henri Hong Kong Ladies Amateur Open Championship yesterday. Thidapa (pictured), 15, who held a six-stroke lead heading into the final round, bogeyed the first three holes at Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club. But three birdies and only one further dropped shot added up to a round of 71 and a convincing seven-shot triumph over Hong Kong's Stephanie Ho in second place. Jaruporn Palakawong finished third, a further four shots adrift.
