Motherhood agrees with Annabelle Liew Hiu-tung. The former television personality joined two other mums - socialites Christina Chan Miu-lan and Crystal Kwok Kam-yan - at the opening of a children's furniture shop, Kids by Red Cabinet, at the Universal Trade Centre in Mid-Levels on Tuesday afternoon.
With lots of toddlers running about, the showroom became a playground while their mothers took a breather with a mocktail or two. That didn't last long as Kwok's three-year-old son Kiva, who was rolling around on the beds, fell off and started crying. None of this fazed the maternal Liew who gave birth to her second child in March and has absolutely no intention of going back to television.
'I quite like being a mother,' Liew admitted. 'I don't actually miss my previous job. I left because it was the end of the contract [with TVB]. I think my job was fun, but I enjoy a lot more being with my babies because they are super cute. Just looking at them makes me laugh all the time. My little boy [21 months old] is nearly walking now and my seven-month-old little girl is going to be crawling soon. When she starts, I cannot go anywhere.'
Two might not be enough for Liew, who is already talking about having an even bigger family.
'Hopefully we will have another baby in 2010. I will probably send my children to study abroad in England and I will probably follow them too.'Topics: United Kingdom
