Safety officer denies visiting mahjong school

An occupational safety officer with the Labour Department denied spending time at a mahjong school while supposedly on duty, Kowloon City Court heard yesterday. Law Hoi-fat, 50, has been charged by the Independent Commission Against Corruption with misconduct in public office on June 18-23 last year. Law was released on bail as Magistrate Peter Law Tak-chuen adjourned the case until June 22.
