Tim Preston from Mills Reef Winery in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand, will host a dinner on June 23 at the Hong Kong Football Club in Happy Valley. The four-course meal includes linguine with duck confit and toasted pine nuts served with the Mills Reef Elspeth Syrah 2006, seared rib-eye of Australian Angus beef with three-pepper sauce and truffled layered potatoes with the winery's Elspeth Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 and molten Lindt chocolate cake with stewed summer strawberries served with the Elspeth Vintage Port 2004. Domani restaurant in Pacific Place will showcase Tenuta Sette Ponti wines on June 24. The five-course dinner will include quail breast wrapped in guanciale ham with the Tenuta Sette Ponti Crognolo IGT 2006 and Poggio al Lupo IGT 2004, homemade tagliatella with duck ragout, mushrooms and black truffle with the Feudo Maccari Saia Nero d'Avola IGT 2004, and roast pigeon served with apple, spinach and red onion jam paired with the Tenuta Sette Ponti Oreno IGT 2005. ASC Fine Wines will hold a tasting on June 25 at the JW Marriot hotel in Admiralty.
