20th case of legionnaires' disease

A 77-year-old man was confirmed with legionnaires' disease yesterday, the 20th case so far this year, the Centre for Health Protection said. The patient, who lives in Yau Ma Tei, developed a fever and vomited on Sunday, and was admitted to Kwong Wah Hospital the next day. He is now in stable condition. Thirteen cases were reported last year, 11 in 2007 and 16 in 2006.
