'Wizards' to set the city on fire

The name of Ojos de Brujo, an ensemble from Barcelona, translates as 'Eyes of the Wizard'. True to form, their performances have worked their magic on audiences worldwide.

Come next year's Arts Festival, it will be Hong Kong's music lovers turn to be lifted from their seats and carried to the group's hometown, the Mediterranean's most dynamic music hotspot, during a rumba-rocking night of music.

Celebrated for its whirlwind-like live shows of sizzling hot Latin beats and melodies, Ojos de Brujo burst onto the international musical scene in 1996. The group's fiery sound combines the irresistible rhythms of flamenco with the energy of rock, and the attitude of hip-hop with the wild intensity of gypsy music.

Searing vocals and scorching riffs mixed on DJ turntables add further chilli and pepper to Ojos de Brujo's hip and hot-and-spicy act.
