Local fashion label Moiselle used Hong Kong Fashion Week's World Boutique as the platform to launch its spring/summer collection on Tuesday night at the Convention and Exhibition Centre. Titled Astonishing Avenue, it's a collection under creative director Harris Chan Pak-hei (right) - son of company owners Bobby Chan Yum-kit and Shirley Chan Tsui How-kiu - whose attempts to make the line more hip and sophisticated seems to be working. The impressive parade of stylish apparels culminated with a minidress which turned luminescent with tiny light bulbs when the catwalk was dimmed.
Chan, though, attributed his progress to an unnamed fashion mentor. 'I have been receiving some guidance this time and I think it is good for me because one must be able to improve and grow as a person,' Chan said. 'So, to have people who can be critical about my work or give me advice, I see it as a positive. It's a way to keep my head clear and not to be too proud of what I have. After all, I am only 22. I still want to have fun and enjoy life. At least I've been a good boy, right? I have not been photographed drinking or partying in Lan Kwai Fong so far.
