Bail refused for alleged acid thrower

A 23-year-old man who allegedly threw acid into a busy pedestrianised area in Causeway Bay was refused bail. Lo Ching-ho, who was remanded after he appeared on January 16 at Eastern Court charged with throwing corrosive fluid with intent to do grievous bodily harm, was denied his application for bail by Acting Principal Magistrate Bina Chainrai. Lo allegedly threw a bottle of the liquid onto Lockhart Road on December 12.
