Junior golfers lead amateur field at Fanling

The junior pair of Liu Lok-tin and Terrence Ng head the field at the Montrose Fine Wines Hong Kong Close Amateur Championship in Fanling after matching 72s yesterday over the New Course for a two-round total of five-over-par 145. They lead Max Wong and defending champion Steven Lam Tsz-fung by three strokes going into today's final two rounds. Liu, 16, won the HSBC China Junior Open in Hainan two weeks ago and is relishing the chance to tee up with the professionals at the Hong Kong Open later in the year, the prize for the Close champion. 'I'm playing solid and feel pretty comfortable with my game,' said Liu. 'The win [in Hainan] has given me a lot of confidence.'
