Discipline is key to success
A man who can control his mind can control his destiny. Although some things are difficult, nothing is impossible. One who can control his mind can rule the world.
An excellent example is Prophet Mohammad. Although people were against his ideas, and did whatever they could to destroy him and his companions, he controlled his mind and found sensible solutions to the problems. He had self-confidence, patience, love and discipline which paved the way to the success of his religion, Islam.
Today, around one quarter of the world's population is Muslim.
Another good example is United States President Barack Obama. He has control over his mind and this is the why he is the head of a super-power. He was the underdog, but he stood for election against one of the most powerful women in the nation, Hillary Clinton. She had experience and had criticised Obama. She said he was immature and had no experience to be the head of his country.
But Obama just focused on the election. He controlled his emotions and thoughts, and we all know the result.

Thank you for your letter, Shoaib. Focus and discipline are crucial to any form of success. People look at star athletes like golfer Tiger Woods and often think that he was lucky. But luck has nothing to do with his success. He worked hard, he missed time out with friends and spent it practising his golf.
One of the most difficult things today is for young people to focus on just one skill when everyone around them is telling them to have a broad base of skills rather than a single area of expertise. It is an interesting concept and whether or not it bodes well for the future remains to be seen. What do our readers think?
