Two men staying in hotels found dead

A New Zealand man has died after being found unconscious in a luxury Central hotel room.

The man, whom police identified only as David, 37, was found in the five-star Mandarin Oriental Hotel on Connaught Road Central at 3.50pm yesterday.

He was taken to Queen Mary Hospital where he was declared dead at 4.25pm.

Police officers found no signs of ransacking or foul play at the scene and the man had not sustained any wounds.

An officer said the dead man had been in the city on business for about a week.

A police officer said no apparent wounds were found on the body and no sign of fighting or struggle ing was detected in his room. The officer said an autopsy would be carried out today.
