Exceptional array of works on offer

Seoul Auction's Modern and Contemporary Art sale offers works by renowned and emerging Western and Asian artists worth an estimated HK$60 million.

Seoul Auction, Korea's leading auction house, will hold its fourth Hong Kong sale on Sunday, at the Grand Hyatt, presenting an exceptional array of Western and Asian art. The sale features 80 works by leading Western and Asian artists, and emerging artists from Korea, Japan, China, India and Indonesia.

Misung Shim, managing director, Seoul Auction Hong Kong, says: 'We are delighted to present Western and Asian artworks by renowned artists as well as by the most innovative contemporary artists of our present era. Many of these works are fresh to the market and have never appeared at auction.

'We are particularly pleased to offer the Eight sculpture by Robert Indiana at auction for the first time. All these works are of superlative quality, and are specially curated to appeal to knowledgeable Asian collectors.

'Seoul Auction is proud to have been the first auction house to bring Western contemporary art to Hong Kong in October 2008. Since then we have witnessed a growing interest in Western art among Asian collectors.
