Unger joins Thorp Alberga's newly opened office in Hong Kong from Maples and Calder where she was a partner. She practises Cayman Islands law and has been based in the Asia region for more than 10 years. Unger has extensive experience across all areas of capital markets and banking transactions.

Richard Thorp Partner Thorp Alberga

Admitted as a lawyer in the Cayman Islands and the British Virgin Islands, Thorp joined Thorp Alberga in 2009 and opened the Hong Kong office. He was previously a partner at Maples and Calder. Thorp is a corporate and funds lawyer with extensive initial public offering experience.

Zachary Yu Wine Guy Langham Place

Yu will be encouraging a positive wine experience for guests at Langham Place in Mong Kok. A member of the Hong Kong Sommeliers Association and a certified sommelier member of the Association of Bartenders and Sommeliers Macau, he has seven years of experience.

Danny Toh Director of sales and marketing Shangri-La Hotel, Dalian

Toh will be responsible for brand communications, sales and distribution, revenue management, eBusiness, and loyalty and partner marketing. Previously, he was director of sales and marketing of Shangri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur and Rasa Ria Resort in Kota Kinabalu.

Williams has 18 years of experience with global consulting firms, and the past seven in executive search. Most recently he was a partner with Transearch International focusing on business unit leadership, functional direct reports, and strategic hire assignments.

Hung will be responsible for continuing growth while deepening relationships with Hong Kong through technical exchanges and strategic partnerships with local companies. He has been with Trend Micro since 2000 and was made general manager of Trend Micro Taiwan in 2007.

With a career spanning more than 19 years, Sanghi will oversee the company's sales function, help develop longstanding relationships and will have overall responsibility for the Indian equities business. He was chief executive at Reliance Equities and at Deutsche for six years.

Michael Yiannakis Senior adviser, corporate practice Edelman Hong Kong

Yiannakis has worked at some of the most respected media outlets in the world. His most recent position was with The Wall Street Journal Asia in Hong Kong where he served as news editor for the past nine years. Before that he was with the Australian Financial Review in Sydney.
