Hongkongers will go to the polls on Sunday to take part in a controversial by-election. The ballot came about after five pro-democracy legislators resigned in January to protest against the lack of universal suffrage in Hong Kong. They hope that people will take part in the election to show support for democracy. Their opponents say the vote is a waste of time and money.
Chief Executive Donald Tsang Yam-kuen would not say whether or not he would participate. But you can have your say. Go to yp.scmp.com to register your favourite out of the nine candidates featured on yesterday's Liberal Studies page. Just like in real life, you only have one vote, so make it count.
