Maritime Museum move approved

The Town Planning Board yesterday approved relocation of the privately owned Maritime Museum from Stanley to pier No 8 in Central. The museum will have to carry out an air-quality assessment to ensure that a planned cafe on the roof will not be affected by emissions from ferries. The museum is now at Murray House in Stanley, but it has to leave those premises by February 2012. The Planning Department and the Harbourfront Commission endorse the move.
