Teacher jailed for molesting student

A secondary school teacher who was voted 'best teacher' was jailed for 10 months yesterday for molesting a 15-year-old pupil and committing an indecent act in front of her. Sports teacher Szeto Pang, 37, stood trial in Eastern Court on two counts of indecent assault and one count of indecent conduct towards a child under 16. Szeto testified earlier that he took the girl to a quiet place to confront her about her promiscuous behaviour. But Magistrate Henry Mierczak did not accept his testimony. Szeto was refused bail pending an appeal.
