It's been a while since celebrity couple Carina Lau Ka-ling and Tony Leung Chiu-wai have been seen together outside of a paparazzi snapshot. But Lau borrowed her actor husband's celebrity power this week to give her fashion business an added publicity boost.
The couple was seen walking the runway hand in hand in Shanghai (below) at a Giuliano Fujiwara fashion show, an Italian brand Lau is an agent for.
After the show, the couple went on to a masquerade party to celebrate Lau's 45th birthday. She wished for a happy, healthy and carefree year ahead.
And, oh, maybe she also hopes to see more of her husband. The actress said they hadn't seen each other for a long time since Leung had been busy filming Wong Kar-wai's The Grand Master, a biopic of kung fu master Ip Man. She had to make a special request of Wong to give Leung a day off for her birthday.
'We celebrate my birthday every year,' Lau said. 'My heart aches when he gets injured during filming. He doesn't come from a martial arts background, that's why he gets hurt easily. But I'll support him no matter what.'
