Unsound advice

Last weekend, Sai Kung Country Park was buzzed on both Saturday and Sunday by a helicopter kitted out with a loudspeaker. From this loudspeaker came a message, but what that was - a Lunar New Year greeting? A warning about sharks? A 'perfectly lovely' weather alert? - it was impossible to tell, because all detail was drowned out by the sound of the engine and rotor blades.

Aviation fuel isn't cheap, so if this helicopter was sent into the skies with the sole intention of imparting information, it was an expensive waste of resources, which would mean it was probably a government initiative.
