Byzantine Maritime purchased the geared Panamax Venus Venture (about 53,317 dwt), built by Ishikawajima in 1977, for $6.75 million.
Wah Kwong also sold its Future-32 type Sovereign Venture and Radiant Venture (37,871 dwt), built by Ishikawajima in 1977, for $5.9 million each to Piraeus-based Marmaras.
Teh Tung Taiwan has sold Esperanza (38,584 dwt), built by Koyo Mihara in 1985, to T&J Harrison of Liverpool for $14.2 million.
MOC of New York has sold the Panamax Saturn (62,212 dwt), built by Hyundai in 1980, for $10.25 million to Olaf Pedersen of Norway.
The Japanese-controlled New Pleiades (33,326 dwt), built by Kanda in 1984, has been sold to Ikaros at $12.5 million.
The Trinity Star (23,778 dwt), built by Imabari in 1977, has been sold to Maryville of Piraeus for $5.4 million.
Precious Shipping of Bangkok has bought the Decency (24,912 dwt), built by Kurushima in 1981, for $7.45 million.
Chinese buyers have purchased the Trainer (21,344 dwt), built by Hindustan in 1978, for around $2 million.
The old logger-type Fiji Pioneer (10,026 dwt), built by Hashihama in 1975, has been sold to Asia buyers.
In the tanker market, Sanko has sold another Aframax, Saiko Maru (81,255 dwt), built in 1976 by Sanoyasu, for $5.2 million to Elka Shipping.
Dynacom has purchased the Italian-controlled Suezmax Paolai (141,586 dwt), built in 1974 by Sumitomo, for around $4.25 million.
