Guess who's going to be Hong Kong's next Canto-pop diva? It's quite obvious who has the ambition to fight for that title.
Stephanie Cheng Yung renewed her contract with record label Star Entertainment on Wednesday at The Mira hotel's ballroom.
The petite beauty was crowned by Star boss Ernie Sit Ka-lun (pictured with her) 'the queen after tomorrow'.
Cheng wore a huge silver-coloured crown and was congratulated by two topless male models acting as servants.
The real deal concerning her contract renewal is that the singer will finally get to perform a solo concert at the Hong Kong Coliseum next year.
'It's definitely a dream come true for me,' Cheng said. 'I'll have two new albums coming out this year and I'll be preparing for the concert, which is scheduled for between January and March next year.'
Now her show business career has become her top priority, Cheng said she wouldn't be actively looking for a love companion.
'I quite enjoy being single at the moment,' she said. 'I'll just let things happen naturally.'
