Trainer Caspar Fownes is having second thoughts and may now go to Tokyo for the Yasuda Kinen with Champions Mile runner-up Lucky Nine.
Neither Lucky Nine nor Green Birdie will line up in Sunday's Group Two Sprint Cup (1,200m) with Green Birdie to be freshened up for another tilt at the KrisFlyer in Singapore, which he won last year.
Fownes toyed with giving Lucky Nine a break for the rest of the season but the horse is arguing otherwise.
'He's really bounced out of the race on Monday. He's come through it so well that we have to think about the Yasuda Kinen now,' Fownes said yesterday. 'Things seem to have settled down now as far as the radiation and any other issues after the earthquake and tsunami so I'm swinging around towards going.'
Tony Cruz has indicated that four-time Group One winner Beauty Flash will go to Japan for the race on June 5.
