Tom McHale, director of client services (China), The Hoffman Agency

In his new post, McHale will work with the technology-focused PR firm's Beijing and Shanghai offices on client strategy, new business opportunities and staff development. McHale is a former journalist and seasoned IT communications professional. 'His combination of technology PR, editorial and reporting work will be a great addition to the Hoffman China team,' says Chris Tang, managing director, Asia-Pacific, The Hoffman Agency.

Alvin Seah, general manager for Hong Kong, Singapore Airlines

Seah joined Singapore Airlines in 1993 after previously serving at the carrier's subsidiary, SilkAir, as vice-president, commercial. Prior to this, he held various related posts in France, Italy and Australia. In his new role, Seah will oversee the airline's sales, marketing and operations in Hong Kong and Macau.

Tony Tai, general manager, IBM Hong Kong

Tai will be responsible for overseeing IBM's business operations and strategic development in Hong Kong. He takes over from Dominic Tong, who has since been promoted. 'With his vast experience, I am certain that [Tai] will lead IBM Hong Kong to create new value to assist our clients to transform and capitalise on the emerging growth opportunities in China and the region,' says D.C. Chien, general manager for the company's Greater China group.
