What I'm listening to: Back to Black by Amy Winehouse. Her recent passing was very sad and a real loss. She leaves behind a great musical legacy.

What I'm reading: The Director's Craft by Katie Mitchell. She's a prominent theatre director in Britain and it's very helpful for me to have a good reference and learning point to help me progress as a director.

What I'm watching: Season seven of Desperate Housewives. It's one of my favourite TV shows as the drama in the housewives' lives is laced with a good deal of poisonous dark humour. Plus MasterChef Australia - I don't cook but like to watch other people do it.

Where I'm hanging out: The Canny Man, a Scottish bar in Wan Chai. I love going there for the haggis and Irn Bru, as they remind me of my hometown, Edinburgh.

What I'm never without: Mints! I do voiceovers and I'm often sitting next to other actors in a small studio and don't want them to smell last night's chilli and garlic.
