On the run for his life

Imagine waking up one day and seeing yourself on a missing persons website. Imagine finding out you are not who you think you are.

Once screenwriter Shawn Christensen came across that scenario, he was hooked. It took him just two months to write the draft of what would become the action-thriller Abduction.

Nathan (Taylor Lautner) has always had an uneasy feeling: that he was living someone else's life.

Then one day he finds an image of himself as a child - on a missing persons website.

Nathan discovers that nothing is what it seems. The people he thinks are his parents are not. Everything he's been told is a lie. So he sets out to find out who he really is.

Meanwhile, agents and criminals are after him.

Together with his strong-willed neighbour Karen (Lily Collins), Nathan will do whatever it takes to solve the mystery behind his identity. The film relies on its central character and Lautner has already shown his acting skills as Jacob Black in the Twilight movies.

'Taylor is probably the only actor his age who could take on this role, given his abilities as a martial artist and as an athlete,' says producer Lee Stollman. 'He's also incredibly smart.'
