With Christmas just around the corner, shopping for that perfect scent for that special person can be more trouble than it's worth. Loewe has come to the olfactory rescue with a collection of four fragrances called La Colecci?n. Composed by master perfumer Emilio Valeros, the collection reflects the elegance of the Spanish fashion house, with each of the scents signifying one of the company's values. From Passion to Sensuality, Desire to Eternity, all employ a variety of bouquets, including coveted fragrances such as Bulgarian rose, Egyptian jasmine, iris from Florence and ylang-ylang from Comores. The collection is exclusive to British department store Harrods (harrods.com) for the next five months, and each retails for GBP250. GEM OF A FIND

Temptation, the latest haute joaillerie collection from the Swiss luxury brand Chopard (chopard.com), is designed in a swirl of colours and shapes. Created using rare and colourful gems - rubellites, kunzites, tsavorites - the rings, earrings and necklaces incorporate luxurious-yet-casual designs that resemble forbidden fruit and flowers.

SOLE MASTER

Next year marks the 20th anniversary of Christian Louboutin. To celebrate, a book on the man whose trademark red soles have become must haves for the world's well-heeled has been released. The 350-page tome looks at the Frenchman's career in a Q&A format with Eric Reinhardt and beautiful photography by Philippe Garcia and David Lynch.

SHARP MOVES

French accessories brand S.T. Dupont (st-dupont.com) looks east for its latest act of penmanship, with a Japanese feudal warrior acting as inspiration for its Samurai Limited-Edition series.
