Actor-singer Michael Wong Man-tak makes no secret of his passion for flying helicopters. Now he's incorporated it - alongside his other activities - into a namesake collection created in collaboration with Italian leather goods brand Giorgio Fedon 1919.
Donning a black leather jacket and standing in front of a life-sized helicopter display (which he took apart to move into the mall before reassembling it the night before Thursday's event), Wong said: 'The collection is all about energy and my way of living.'
The collection comprises three bag models - a messenger bag and two cross-body bags - and several accessories, which are 'all personalised to feature the 'MW' stamp and four icons reflecting his image and lifestyle', brand sales manager Eugenia Del Favero said.
'The first icon [a CD] represents music, as Michael is a singer and has a band, and the second icon [a film reel] represents the film industry, because he's an actor. The two others are more abstract - an arrow that means 'move forward' and a plus sign meaning 'add up to your life'.'
Celebrity guests - including the brand's chairman Callisto Fedon, Wong's wife Janet Ma Sze-wai, Jennifer Tse Ting-ting, Carl Ng Ka-lung, Cara Grogan, Jocelyn Luko and Anthony Sandstrom - also showed up to offer support.
