Golden future
The future West Kowloon Cultural District will have 1.6 million sq ft for residential development, but other new supply is mostly on the fringe of the Golden Circle. The project above Austin station will supply about 1,200 units, while Nam Cheong will have about 3,313 units.
On the right track
It will be easier than ever to visit the mainland when the 26km Hong Kong section of the Express Rail Link is completed in 2015. It will connect to the 16,000km National High-Speed Railway Network, which covers most mainland cities. Passengers will be able to reach many cities without changing trains, with much shorter journey times.
