Captain America, Spider-man and the rest of the Marvel Comics gang take over a Hong Kong kitchen next week as top chefs cook up three nights of superhero-themed dinners.

Alvin Leung of three-Michelin-star Hong Kong restaurant Bo Innovation and Chris Cosentino, of Cockscomb Restaurant in San Francisco, will present their “Heroes & Villains” pop-up dinner series at Leung’s restaurant in Wan Chai.

Marvel representatives were recently in Hong Kong and were keen to promote the comic book brand in an innovative way – through food. They approached Leung, nicknamed the “Demon Chef” and character himself, to prepare some fun dinners based on the superhero characters, and teamed him up with Cosentino.

The first night sees Cosentino, winner of Top Chef Masters season four, cook an eight-course Marvel-themed menu, followed by Leung, a Masterchef Canada judge, who will present his culinary take on the superhero theme.

On the final night, the two will collaborate for the first time on a Marvel Comics-themed dinner, again of eight courses.
