The 14-year-old Chinese prodigy found himself the talk of Augusta even before teeing off in his first Masters on Thursday and becoming the youngest player to take part in golf's most famous tournament. After taking a penalty point for slow play on the chin, the teenager from Guangzhou then made the cut to take part in this weekend's final rounds, alongside the likes of Tiger Woods.

Douglas Whyte

The South African jockey made history at Sha Tin as he equalled Brett Prebble's 2010 feat of winning six races on a single race day. Whyte described the victories - which took him nine points ahead of Zac Purton in the jockey's championship as "very satisfying".

William Chak Kin-man

The ceramics dealer got his hands on a rare Chinese porcelain bowl dating back about 300 years - 14 years after he first tried to buy it. The "falangcai" bowl would have been painted in the Forbidden City in the reign of Emperor Kangxi in the early 18th century and cost Chak HK$74 million - as against the HK$12 million he couldn't afford when it was sold in 1999.
