Hong Kong launch of the new A3

Audi put on a huge bash to celebrate the Hong Kong launch of the new A3. At the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal guests were treated to a sneak peek of the car and copious amounts of wine and hors d'oeuvres. Presenting the new A3 to the crowd of aficionados was Reinhold Carl (right), managing director of Audi Hong Kong. Also in attendance were Audi Hong Kong's brand ambassador, Marchy Lee, and singer/actor Aaron Kwok Fu-shing (pictured with Carl), who recently represented Audi Hong Kong at the R8 LMS Cup amateur championship. The evening concluded with a mini concert by pop singer Denise Ho Wan-si.

Three for The One

Actress Carina Lau Kar-ling opened not one but three restaurants on the same floor of Tsim Sha Tsui mall The One at a glamorous party. She enjoyed a glittering turnout, which included husband, actor Tony Leung Chiu-wai and other showbiz personalities. Zurriola is a Spanish restaurant, Kyo-Shun is contemporary Japanese, and Tapagria is a tapas and sangria bar. When congratulated on her hat-trick, Lau played it down, saying there were a lot of other people involved.

Sky's the limit

At the launch of the new Porsche Panamera 4S at The Ritz-Carlton's Diamond Ballroom guest of honour Fala Chen (above), leading lady in the recent hit TVB drama Triumph in the Skies II, revealed a penchant for red sporty cars. Chen, whose family moved to the US when she was a teenager, learned to drive in her mother's Mazda but she has since developed high-flying tastes. Asked what car she would want if she could only drive one for the rest of her life, she replied: "Something that can fly because traffic in Hong Kong is really bad."
