Renowned flamenco dancer and choreographer María Pagés sets out to reclaim the myth behind classical opera’s most provocative gypsy. Carmen, as it’s been told throughout the years, has been largely a male-dominated endeavour that Pagés, along with her dance company, are determined to retell from a female perspective.
