Paradise found … on Cabana’s rooftop

If sitting among sweaty rugby fans watching rugby players sweat doesn’t sound like an appealing weekend plan then escape to Cabana’s rooftop at The Pulse in Repulse Bay and surround yourself with sea views and cool vibes. The rules for parties here are simple: grab a glass of bubbly, plonk yourself on a rooftop sunlounger, sip aforementioned champagne and only move when you need to cool off by taking a dip in an onsen (Japanese bath). There are various packages available starting for one person (HK$580) up to the exclusive HK$50,000 package for eight (it includes 20 bottles of vintage Champagne, soft drinks, fresh coconut water, fruits, canapes … the list goes on). It’s a luxurious way to spend a weekend. Dress code beach chic, of course. Cabana, 403-404, 4/F, 28, The Pulse, Beach Rd, Repulse Bay. Tel: 2889 5939. cabana.hk. Swedish sustainable fashion

The Swedish consulate general has joined forces with fashion chain H&M, outdoor apparel experts Fjällräven and creative hub PMQ to present a clothes exchange event, a fun way to revitalise your closet while reducing the impact on the environment. The system is simple: Bring your own fresh, clean clothes in good condition and each garment you leave gives you another one for free (maximum 5 items per person). Also on the agenda (April 9-10) is a Swedish Sustainable Fashion Exhibition with representatives from H&M and Fjällräven talking about sustainable fashion. PMQ, 35 Aberdeen St, Central (HG12–HG13). New look for an old favourite

Square Street had somewhat of a cult following when it opened in Hong Kong in 2010, it’s selection of beautifully crafted items a hit with the city’s fashion lovers. Now it’s back with a new look, and one that has fully embraced the burgeoning health and fitness trend. To celebrate “Your Friendly Neighbourhood shop, reimagined” (think more white, more light, more space to breathe, and plants and plush carpet), it is hosting an event to usher in its new image. 15squarestreet, G/F, 15 Square Street, Sheung Wan.
