Swedish sustainable fashion

The Swedish consulate general has joined forces with fashion chain H&M, outdoor apparel experts Fjällräven and creative hub PMQ to present a clothes exchange event, a fun way to revitalise your closet while reducing the impact on the environment. The system is simple: Bring your own fresh, clean clothes in good condition and each garment you leave gives you another one for free (maximum 5 items per person). State of the union

If you’re planning to tie the knot any time soon or just curious about the latest on offer in the world of luxury weddings then the InterContinental Hong Kong is the place to be this Sunday when it hosts the annual Luxury Wedding Showcase (midday-6.30pm). This year will see 40 of the city’s top wedding specialists give advice about how to plan that special day, from gowns to floral displays and cakes and everything in between. Time for tea

In 2015, renowned Japanese tearoom Nakamura Tokichi chose Hong Kong for its first overseas branch. On Sunday (and running until May 15) it will host a pop-up at Pacific Place in Admiralty. Eight types of tea will be brewed, including the sweet and light Gyokuro (HK$33); Sencha (HK$28) and Sencha Kukicha (HK$28), made from infused green tea sticks and Genmaicha (HK$28), a roasted rice and green tea. Matcha tea and Hojicha tea jelly will also be available. Created from tea-flavoured chocolate and blended with marshmallow, almonds and pecan nuts that intensify the notes of the teas, Rich matcha batan chocolate (HK$168) and Rich hojicha batan chocolate (HK$168) will be available in Hong Kong for the first time. New look for an old favourite

Square Street had somewhat of a cult following when it opened in Hong Kong in 2010, it’s selection of beautifully crafted items a hit with the city’s fashion lovers. Now it’s back with a new look, and one that has fully embraced the burgeoning health and fitness trend. Fashion for a cause

The Landmark Mandarin Oriental will team up with three of Hong Kong’s most exciting fashion designers – Anais Mak of Jourden, Eugene Leung of Injury and Melissa Bui – to present My Hong Kong, a showcase of the city’s most creative and a way to raise funds for literacy charity Bring Me A Book Hong Kong, from April 20-May 3. The three designers’ Hong Kong-inspired works will be displayed in the hotel’s entrance alongside a curated “Style Journey” that provides more information about the designers and what inspires them. Afternoon delight

The Mira Hong Kong is dishing up some sweet delights as part of its Calvin Klein Afternoon Tea Set offer available until April 30 at the hotel’s cafe COCO.
