Redress founder Christina Dean shares some of her favourite things

Hong Kong’s Sevva bar, artist Chen Guan Ming, John Hardy jewellery and a repurposed jacket are high on her list

As for my favourite designer, it’s difficult to select just one since I’m smitten by emerging names who combine aesthetics with ethics. One current love affair is the collaboration between Kevin Germanier and Shanghai Tang.

My favourite bar in Hong Kong is Sevva for the view. If I want a cooler vibe then I head to Grassroots Pantry in Sheung Wan.

India is my favourite holiday destination – I adore the reality of how the strata of life there unravels – from poor rawness to posh richness. It’s life’s cocktail blended into a real experience, my ideal recipe for a holiday.

When it comes to my favourite piece of jewellery I’m a fan of John Hardy, a brand that has ethics as one of its core pillars.

I love the work of mainland soldier-turned-artist Chen Guan Ming, who uses oils to highlight social issues, in my favourite case the plight of coal miners. I’m honoured to have one of his masterpieces at home ... I adore it.

I don’t have a favourite skincare brand/perfume as I pinch whatever my husband’s using, which seems to rotate between Nivea, Origins or Clarins. Luckily, his cosmetics bag is much larger than mine.

Sad to say that since having three kids and founding Redress, most of my reading is through Vogue, especially the British edition, which gives me an insight into modern women’s culture, an educational necessity for me.

Today I’m wearing a discarded jacket that was repurposed by Hong Kong-based fashion blogger Geneva Vanderzeil. The back portion was removed, leaving a gap between the two back panels and black elastic straps were inserted. A Marc Jacobs white shirt is my wardrobe staple and this one has stood the test of time. The jeans I swapped with a good friend because swapping is better than shopping. The heels are an outlet buy.
