G/F, TSUN WING LANE
The group behind Posto Pubblico and Linguini Fini now has a pizza joint. Pizzeria Pubblico is tucked away by Pure and is the ideal place for a quick bite on the run.
The eatery has a cafeteria-style format where you order, pay for the meal and then collect it when it's ready.
There are five kinds of pizzas, prepared on delicious crunchy crusts that don't get soggy. We liked the one with sausage slices (HK$40) that had just the right seasoning, while Pubblico (HK$45) featured buffalo mozzarella, tomato and basil.
Pepperoni (HK$40) features the slightly spicy sausage, while Brooklyn (HK$45) combines fried eggplant and roasted peppers and garlic and mozzarella. Also on the menu are two salads and the Caesar salad (HK$60) is straightforward and fresh. For extra garnish there are chilli flakes, or even better, marinated fresh chilli slices.
For an alternative bite there is the chicken parma sub (HK$100), which is chicken parmagiano in a sub.
There's only one dessert, and the cannoli (HK$35) is a creamy mascarpone indulgence with a sprinkling of finely crushed pistachio wrapped in crispy pastry.
