Michelin stars for Hong Kong and Macau revealed

With the Michelin stars for Hong Kong and Macau 2016 revealed just over a week ago, the guide's Michael Ellis announced that it was featuring street food in Hong Kong and Macau for the first time. There are 23 Hong Kong and 12 Macau locations mentioned this year. "The inclusion of street food is a first in the history of the Michelin Guides," Ellis says. "The Michelin Guide has always been a true reflection of the restaurant scene in the cities and countries that we cover. In Hong Kong, street food is part of the local way of life: the city never sleeps." The eateries that made the list include Butchers Club, Canaan Thai Snack, Fat Boy, Kwan Kee Store, Three Potatoes, and, in Macau, Lord Stow's Bakery, Mok Yee Kei, Lemon Cello and Yi Shun.
