EVENT Kent & Curwen Centenary Sprint Cup
WHERE Hong Kong Jockey Club Sha Tin racecourse

HAPPENINGS: British sartorial label Kent & Curwen flew in its new ambassador, football star Michael Owen, for this year's Centenary Sprint Cup. The star stole the show at the exclusive VIP event. Owen joined guests for a luncheon at the Jockey Club Box which was transformed into a gentlemen's club with the help of a classy cognac and cigar bar, shoe shine station and photo booth.

Models dressed in the brand's autumn/winter 2014 collection trotted down the runway during the exclusive luncheon. The stellar event saw guests including Canto-pop diva and film actor Aaron Kwok, plus VIPs Adrian Cheng, Eric Fok, and James and Jane Louey. But the biggest winner was kung fu legend Sammo Hung, whose horse Amber Sky took home the trophy.

OVERHEARD I wish it was David Beckham and Michael Owen on the runway!

CHIC CHAT with Aaron Kwok

Can you tell us how to dress stylishly at sporty events?
I like to mix and match. If I have to attend a sport event, I'd choose a smart casual outfit and pair it with accessories, such as a pair of stylish sunglasses.

Your horse has been performing exceptionally well.
The trainer told me it has good potential. We heard you are preparing for your directorial debut. Can you tell us about the project?
I worked hard on the movie script in 2013. The basic story line has been completed. I will collaborate with a professional scriptwriter to refine the details and hopefully in 2015, I will get to direct my first film.

What has been the main challenge of switching to directing?
I will still be focusing on acting. Being a director will fulfil my creative dream. The challenge will be juggling the roles of an actor and a director.
