China’s e-commerce market is set to see US$274.5 billion in spending in 2014, and according to a new infographic by web design and development team Go Globe , a tremendous percentage of e-commerce purchases are being solely made on mobile devices.
According to the graphic, mobile shopping spending will grow 91.1 percent from 2013 to 2014, but as e-commerce grows closer to a saturation point in China, that growth is likely to slow from 2015 through 2018.
Furthermore, Alibaba's Taobao and Tmall sites are the dominant force in China's e-commerce mobile scene, accounting for 76.1 per cent of spending from smart phones.
