Beijing residents are enjoying a beautiful snowy city today. But nobody knows how long the blue sky can last.

What will Beijing's weather be like tomorrow?

You may think it is an easy question to answer and people in many mainland cities can get it right, even without checking the official weather forecast. But nobody could have predicted that Beijing would experience four seasons in as many days this week. First there was smog - no surprise - then came blue sky, followed by rain, snow and muddy snow.

Saturday & Sunday: Bad smog

Monday: Very low PM2.5 and blue sky!

Tuesday: Rain, muddy snow and real thick snow ......

[3]

Today: Fresh white snow covers the whole city - a rare image of cleanliness for Chinese capital. But how long can it last?

Tomorrow: Typhoon? Sandstorm? Or just another sunny day for picnic?
