Four killed after truck slams into row of homes in China

A truck ploughed into three homes in China’s western Ningxia province on Tuesday afternoon, killing four people, mainland media reported.
Security camera footage posted on microblog site Weibo showed a red truck roaring past an intersection and running at full speed into a row of houses at around 1pm in Haiyuan county.
The homes were flattened immediately and reduced to rubble and a cloud of dust.
The crash was the result of faulty brakes on the truck, China National Radio reported.

The authorities were still verifying the number of casualties, the report said.
