Pro-government group Voice of Loving Hong Kong complained to the police yesterday that it had been bullied online, and said its Facebook page had been deleted.
The claim followed a similar allegation by another pro-government organisation, Caring Hong Kong Power, which complained to the United States consulate and the central government's liaison office in Hong Kong last week that its Facebook page had disappeared.
Both groups have now set up new pages on Facebook.
Voice of Loving Hong Kong's Chan Kong-man said he believed both groups' pages had been reported to Facebook as inappropriate by their rivals.
Group convenor Patrick Ko Tat-pun described it as a "planned and organised crime".
Facebook says on its community standards page that it does not allow bullying, harassment and hate speech.
Voice of Loving Hong Kong has opposed pro-democracy protests.
Civic Party lawmaker Claudia Mo Man-ching asked the government on Wednesday if it had investigated whether the two groups had been registered under the Companies Ordinance or the Societies Ordinance. Secretary for Security Lai Tung-kwok said he would not comment on individual organisations or cases.
